About DLANZ

The Drycleaners & Launderers Association of NZ is the only organisation representing and speaking on behalf of the drycleaning industry in New Zealand.

The DLANZ acts as watchdog for the industry and provides advice and assistance on legislative changes affecting the industry.

The Association provides an umbrella for networking with other members of industry.

Our structure consists of five regional areas each with their own representative on the Executive Committee along with one Corporate representative and several Allied Trader representatives. The fact that these positions are voluntary means membership fees are kept to a minimum. The Association encourages input from all it’s members who recognise the value the association contributes to their industry as a whole and indeed their own business success.

As your company is already an integral part of the industry in New Zealand, we consider you have a right and a responsibility to have some say in that industry’s affairs, activities and future.

Some History

Our National body was originally formed in 1955 under the name of the Federation of Drycleaners, Launderers and Dyers of New Zealand Inc which subsequently became the Textile Federation of New Zealand Inc. and in 2020 rebranded to The Drycleaners & Launderers Association of New Zealand Inc.

The organistion has evolved over the decades in response to changes to the ebbs and flows within the sector and to best reflect those that it represents, primarily it's members.

Mission Statement

To provide our members with technical and practical support ensuring commercial and retail customers receive the best possible experience and quality of service in the textile care industry.
